TEACHER ASSISTANT

A Teacher Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Teacher, reports directly to the
Site Director and is responsible for:

·          Preparing monthly lesson plans in coordination with the Teacher.
·          Carrying out a variety of instructional activities planned with Teacher in a way that keeps students interested. ·          Carrying out the directions of the Site Director and the Teacher in compliance with the policies and     procedures of KIDS COUNTRY and the Child Care Code Requirements.
·          Using effective group leadership and organizing techniques that minimize behavior problems.
·          Listening to children and being sensitive to their needs.
·          Seeking aid from the Teacher or Site Director when faced with a job related problem.  
·          Working with other staff in a cooperative manner.  
·          Attending a minimum of two general staff training sessions per year.  
·          Any other duties as assigned by the Site Director.

Desirable Qualifications:
·          Interest in and the ability to work well with children.
·          Candidates should be 18+ years old, high school graduates or currently participating in an occupational program conducted by an accredited high school or college.

Wage & Benefits:
