TEACHER -- LEVEL II
 Teachers report directly to the Site Director and are responsible for:
• Planning and implementing a variety of instructional activities for students
      that keep students interested, whether it be extra-curricular, enrichment, or
      recreational. 
• Completing monthly bulletin boards and carefully planning and displaying a
      monthly calendar that incorporates all activities planned. 
• Working with, and carrying out the directions of the Site Director in compliance
      with the policies and procedures of KIDS COUNTRY and child care code
      requirements.
• Teaching groups of children as assigned, using a variety of effective teaching
      methods.
• Using effective group leadership and organizing techniques that minimize
      behavior problems.
• Listening to children and being sensitive to their needs.
• Mentoring Teacher Assistants in preparing monthly lesson plans and
       supervising the instruction carried out by them. 
• Working with other staff in a cooperative manner.
• Attending monthly teacher meetings and a minimum of one school age workshop,
                  training or conference per year.    
• Conducting a minimum of one training workshop per year for assigned site’s staff.
• Maintaining current CPR and 1st Aid certifications.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Site Director.
 Desirable Qualifications:
• A minimum of 12 semester units or equivalent quarter units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, completed at an accredited or approved college or university.
• A minimum of six months of work experience in a licensed day care center or comparable group child care program.
• The ability to work well with children.

• Kids’ Country is an “at will” company.
• Full-time or Part-time
   Wage & Benefits:  Level II Teachers earn $11.30 to $12.80 per hour (based on experience)
